Teal Blue Sapphire Art Deco Ring Remodel
It's been a month of Art Deco inspired pieces, this stunning deep teal sapphire has been given a new lease of life housed within a new setting and ring design.
The customer came to us with an original Art Deco piece from the 1920s, the ring belonged to Father's Godmother. She loved the Art Deco style of the design but it was far too high and chunky to be practicable for every day wear.
We have retained the setting layout and kept the oval sapphire set lengthways with two diamonds set to either side vertically. The settings are now much lower and the whole ring is now delicate and most importantly - wearable.
So often you see large oval gemstones set vertically, but they work well horizontally as well, especially paired with smaller round diamonds.
Last year we also made an oval opal ring set horizontally with three smaller diamonds to each side, if you would like to take a look click here.
We are happy to have given such a pretty sapphire a new lease of life.
If you have gemstones with sentimental meaning or old pieces gathering dust in your jewellery box, why not pop in to see us with them and we can advise if the stones can be used. We can melt down your existing metal to create a handmade design or if your new design requires making via CAD, you can put the metal cost towards having a bespoke piece made.
